COLEGIO NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LA FUENSANTA (MURCIA) SPAIN
SCHOOL HISTORY: The Jesus & Mary Infant, Primary and Secondary School, Nuestra Señora de la Fuensanta, derives its ethos and tradition from St. Claudine Thevenet, foundress of the Congregation of Jesus & Mary. She was born in Lyon, France, in 1774. The sisters of Jesus and Mary came to Spain in 1850 to continue the work that St.Claudine had begun based on the values of forgiveness and helps others.
The education offered integrates an inclusive school and enriches the personality at the human, religious and social levels as well as at the level of preparation for commitment and responsibility.
Our school responds to a methodology which is characterised by love, patience and forgiveness, and to the guidance of teachers who attend individually and progressively to their development, taking into account their particular talents and circumstances in life. We own houses and schools in different continents. In the city of Murcia there are two schools: Alfonso X y Ntra. Sra. de la Fuensanta. Our school has approximately 800 students (Infant Education (3-5 years of age), Primary (2 forms in Year 1st -6th) and Secondary (2 forms in Year 1st-4th, and two diversification courses in Year 3th and 4th of Secondary).
