Q2: How effective was the project information?
A: The information we got about values was very "valuable" for us. We feel that we have learned a lot and have already started introducing some of the ideas at our school. As the project is about introducing the idea of values and values based life to our students, the information was very effective.
C: The meeting was well organised with a lot of information. I really appreciate contact with students, teachers and lessons observations. We could see how the project works at school. It´s good that every school can find its own way of values introduction.
F: The project information was by no means a necessary step. All of us needed it. We met our partners except for Italy. We talked to each other ,we learnt from each other about the different school-systems and it helped all the partners to have a better understanding of what a values-based education is. All the partners are so different and it is challenging to see how all these different schools with their different systems will cope with that in order to achieve a common project.
D: Fantastic - but I have heard it before. I Think that it was a hard programe, but it needed to be.
I: no presence
S: Very effective
Uk:
T:No presence
Q3: Mention how we can improve the schedule or timetable of the visits.
A: We think the organisation and the schedule of our visit at RMS was perfect.
C: I would suggest to have more time for meetings of coordinators.
F: We wish our students to spend time together and our concern is how to provide them with time to think together about values. Considering each schoo-systeml is different, provide each school with a calendar with holidays in each country and specific celebrations ( off days).
D: The time in England was very busy. A not so teigth schedule will leave more space for reflections. Think we have to talk about this isue. Maybe less waiting and would be nice with small groupdiscussions for example. It would be nice with a break in the afternoon, before the evening activities. Just to clear our heads :-)
I: Asking all the partners if they can plan the visit according to school organization, holidays.
S: I would suggest to have more time for meetings of coordinators.
Uk:
T: The visit to Denmark in September 2014 could be in October 2014 because our school will open in September and so we won't be able to have the needed opportunity to get prepared for the Project.
Q4: What are the students´ ages you like for the exchange in your country?
A: 10-13
C: 11-12 years olds
F: All our students are 12-13 so we'd like to host children who are teenagers (12/ 13) if possible.
D: From 12-15 year
I: 10-12
S: especially 12-15
Uk:
T: 12-15 suitable
Q5: Concerning the five exchange days, would you prefer to travel from Thursday to Tuesday, with the weekend in the middle or you prefer from Monday to Friday?
A: Monday to Friday !!
C: We´d prefer from Monday to Friday.
F: We definitely prefer to travel from Thursday to Tuesday
D: Thursday it Tuesday is fine for me. Denmark cannot be away on wednesdays, as we have meetings, workshop, so everyone have to be at school. Think meeting only have to be two days, and max 2 days extra. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be the best. Monday to Friday. Monday Friday.
I: from thursday to tuesday with weekend in the middle
S: From Thursday to Tuesday
Uk:
T: I think Thursday to Tuesday is suitable.
.
Q6: Do you agree with forming one group of student visitors to learn English and some students of the school will explain about the values, the school, culture and town to the rest of visitors, apart from the tourist visits?
A: sure, although I don't quite understand what you mean
C: I´m afraid I don´t understand the question well. Do you mean the students from the hosting school ?
F: It's a good idea.Yes! Let's do that! It will reinforce their commitment in the project.
D: I agree. Students to student - I agree Student - teacher - not agree
I: yes, I do. Always paid with the Comenius grant? Impossible for Italy, we hardly believe the grant will be enough for all the activities in school and for the visits.
S: yes, I do
Uk:
T: Yes, I agree.
Q7: Would you like to create a blog or website of the project through weebly.com in order to inform parents and students about the project, apart from twin space where the students will upload their projects?
A: Weebly is great!! Twin space too... I still need to upload some things we already did...
C: I was trying to enter weebly you sent me an invitation to but it doesn´t work. It says that"This invitation has been removed by the site owner." But I think it´s a good idea.
F: You did a great work Jose. Thanks again.
D: Jose has made a great website. Anyway we need to be connected to RMS (Drew) page, and Twinspace mostelt for the chat. Think we should keep the information to a minimum of sites, specially for our parents.
I: Yes, I would
S:yes, I would
Uk:
T: Yes, I have already started to update the weebly.com.
Q8: What activities would you recommend to start the project with our students?
A: Maybe we can all focus on one value and everyone works on one task (for example every child involved writes a fictional story in which the value is the topic and then we all upload the stories and every child gets one story of a child of a different country. Then they can read the story of their "partner" and everyone can talk about the outcome at school.
C: Do you mean at school or at the meeting ? We plan to find our own values through questionnaires for staff and another one for the students. Then we will work out the system of evaluation. We want to find our own way, not just to copy the system of RMS.
F: When we came back from London and that we presented the information we got from our stay at the RMS, we had loads of questions about the school in itself and about the British school-system. We think relevant to bring them answers to their questions and we consider that it would be a good thing to start by introducing ourselves and then by presenting a typical day at school in every school. They are both young and curious and interested.
D: Chat - so they can learn eachother. Sightseeing and then a presentation on the locations. Maybe make a country, city and school presentation to each other.
I: To prepare boards in the school to show the mainframe of the project like in the corridors of Royal masonic School. Let the students make essays on each value of the month and then put the best ones on each school page on the website. We might publish the original ones in mother tongue and the translation in italian. Prepare for each value of each month slogans, sentences and like above on the website.
S: slogans, students videos about values (role plays), information boards at schools, comics, poems, projects about our partners´countries…
Uk:
T: Music, dance or some leisre time activities could be possible to get to know each other.
Q9: Do you know how to use the Moodle Drew showed us?
A: ....?
C: I have never used it before.
F: Not really but we are eager to learn.
D: No, I need more train more. Sorry. Yes.
I: Not really, just something.
S: just something.
Uk:
T: Unfortunately no. Could you give us some info about it?
Q10: What things can we improve for our next visits?
A: We are trying very hard to organise your visit to Austria as wonderfully as our trip to RMS has been.
C: -More space for project meetings. Thank you for the survey.
F: DEFINITELY THE WEATHER !!!!!!!! with the help of God !!!!! We fully enjoyed our stay everything was thought and well organized thanks to Rachel and Drew. We really enjoyed our stay!
D: Respondent skipped this question. I think we need some workshops, to discuss things in the Project. A day more. Hopefully, we can learn more from each other about value based education.
I: No suggestions
S: More time for coordinators´meetings. Write a summary with all the decisions taken. With an evaluation survey we can improve our visits.
Uk:
T: We don't know what you did in your last visit yet. We'd be pleased to learn it first.
